Disnakertrans Adds 22 Units of MTU This Year

We already have 23 units and will be added up to 45  units

The Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans) Head Andri Yansyah adds 22 mobile training units (MTU) in December. Those MTUs will be distributed to the job training center (PPKD) in five cities.

"We already have 23 units and will be added up to 45 units," he expressed, Wednesday (11/6).

Disabled Students Get Computer Training

By so, the quantity practical skills training will be intensified from the quota of 10 people per class for 30 days become 20 days with a quota of 10 people per class.

"Last year the class number was only five for once training. This year it will be added up to seven classes. Each class has 10 people. But the duration is shortened," he explained.

According to him, those MTUs provide training in cosmetology, catering, fashion, computer operator, motorcycle engineering, refrigeration and electrical welding.

"They are more sophisticated, modern and use the latest technology," he told.

They reach out to residential areas, target citizens who are married and have limited time to attend skills training.

It is done in collaboration and coordination with the local RT/RW caretakers relating to public proposals, either about training location or type of training.

"It gives skills to locals in accordance with their interests," he told.

His agency also cooperates with the Correctional Institution and Outstanding School (SLB) in providing MTU training.

"Disabled people and prisoners have the right to equality and job training or skills opportunities," he stated.
